Tate, a global provider of innovative raised access flooring,
structural ceilings, and modular prefabricated aisle containment
systems, is opening a new manufacturing facility in Russell County,
Virginia.You have the unique opportunity to get in on the ground

positions who want to grow with our business.Basic PurposeThe
Maintenance Mechanic 1 requires the ability to install, repair, and
maintain facility equipment and machinery in order to maintain
required production levels under minimal
supervision.Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and preventative maintenance of industrial
equipment and machinery; perform daily, weekly, monthly, and
quarterly preventative maintenance on plant equipment and machinery
as required per established PM programs and complete required
paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
- Troubleshoot equipment problems, identify root causes, and make
repairs on production equipment.
- Support production by ensuring the safe and proper operation,
maintenance, and repair of plant equipment.
- Generate, complete, and close work orders using a computerized
maintenance management system.
- Assist with established preventive maintenance activities and
identify new opportunities for improvement.
- Program Variable Frequency Drives or Servo motor drives.
- Troubleshoot PLC programs and robotics equipment.
- Accurately use, read and understand various precision
instruments including, but not limited to meters, meggers, and
Oscilloscopes.
- Read and understand Maintenance Work Orders.
- Must be willing to mentor and train existing and new
maintenance employees.
- Follow all Company safety rules and regulations including LOTO
and wearing all required PPE
- Maintains good housekeeping and follows established safety
procedures.
- Follow all policies, procedures, and work instructions
including Employee Handbook, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs),
Manufacturing Operating Procedures (MOPs), Job Safety Analysis
(JSAs), and Safety Manual.
- Maintain awareness of individual contribution to and impact of
the quality, safety, environmental, and product compliance policies
and activities; report all quality issues, unsafe acts, and unsafe
conditions to the proper personnel.Qualifications
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Certification or equivalent experience in mechanical field
- 4 years prior maintenance experience
- Knowledge of current OSHA, NEC, and ANSI standards
- Working knowledge of variable frequency drives
- Must be computer literate, including proficiency with Microsoft
Office Products.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced working environment with
accuracy and integrity.
- Able to work in a team environment and interface with a diverse
workforce.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
- Ability to perform maintenance functions above ground level
from l' to 50'
- Must be able to stand and/or walk, bend, stoop, or crouch for
at least an 8-hour shift
- Must be able to use hands, fingers to handle or feel machinery,
equipment or parts and work near moving mechanical
