Job SummaryThe Screener will utilize hand tools to install mesh into pre-assembled window and/or patio door screens according to the Manufacturing Order.
Job DescriptionReporting to the Value Stream Manager, the Screener is responsible for ensuring the following by performing work using instructions and performing any combination of the following duties:

• Reads work orders and follows oral instructions.
• All positions have some repetitive motion.
• The ability to be flexible and move where needed daily.
• Use spline and rolled screen for insertion into an assembled screen frame for final finished product.
• Cleans work area and equipment using broom, rags and cleaning compounds.
  Qualifications & ExperienceBasic skills include but are not limited to:
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems.
  • Ability to work with others collaboratively.
  • Strong organizational skills
    Preferred
    • Lean manufacturing and continual process improvement experience
    • Manufacturing experience in the Window/ Door manufacturing arenaSkillsThe ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:
      • Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes, and procedures.
      • Maintains a clean and organized (5S) work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.
      • Problem solving and troubleshooting.
      • Organization and planning
      • Customer orientation with a sense of urgency
      • Time-Management and adaptivity
      • Work cooperatively across departments. Education & Experience
        • High school diploma or GED and 2 years of related experience preferred. Physical Requirements
          • Ability to perform repetitive motions of the dominant arm, wrist, and shoulder.
          • Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, reach with hands at arm's length with a break every 2 hours.
          • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with assistance.
          • Regular, predictable attendance is required, including work hours as business demands dictate.
