Job Summary The Cutter will cut material (metal stock) into lengths according to the Manufacturing Order. Accurately provide cut lengths of material to be assembled into windows or packed and shipped to customers. Job Description Reporting to the Value Stream Manager, the Cutter is responsible for ensuring the following by performing work using instructions and performing any combination of the following duties: Reviews the Manufacturing Order for specifications and quantities Prepare, cut, and make finished pieces available for next step in operation. Uses various machines and hand tools to accomplish assigned tasks. Inventories tools, parts, and supplies; contacts materials handler if supplies are needed. Periodically checks products per company policy to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolves any identified problems and alerts supervisor. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications & Experience Basic skills include but are not limited to: Ability to analyze and solve problems. Ability to work with others collaboratively. Detail-oriented and consistent. Education & Experience High school diploma or GED and 2 years of related experience preferred. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks. Excellent hand-eye coordination. Must wear all required PPE and follow all safety procedures.
