• Employment Type: TravelPhysical Therapist (8A - 4P) Position Information:--- Role: Physical Therapist--- Specialty: NA--- Number of Openings: 1--- Shift: First--- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 35-40--- Weekend Hours: 8 hours (1 Saturday per month)--- Call Requirements: none--- Required Certifications: PT license in VA--- Years of Experience: will consider new grad--- Float Requirements: acute care and skilled nursing unit (SNF in in same building, different floor)--- Additional Notes:Unit Information:--- Number of Beds: Average census 40-45 acute care patients; 6 patients on SNF--- Patient Ratios: PT evaluates 6-10 acute care patients per day; works with a PTA on SNF and a PTA on acute care--- Equipment: Walkers, crutches, hoyer lift (typical rehab equipment)--- EHR: Meditech--- Patient Population e.g. "geriatric, adult, peds, etc.": adult/geriatricHiring Profile:--- Must Have Skills/Experience: safe patient handling for mobilization of an acutely ill patient, written and verbal communication skills--- Preferred Skillset/Experience: acute care/ snf experience--- Common Diagnosis/Treatment: COPD, CHF, total hip and knee replacements--- Personality Fit: Friendly, confident, energetic--- Required Education: Graduate of an accredited PT program (BS, MPT, or DPT)Dress Code:--- Scrub Color: Any or business casual (khakis/ polo)--- Any unacceptable attire: Scrubs or business casual and tennis shoes would typically satisfy the requirement.
