• Certification Details
• PALS/BLS
• ACLS required for ER. Must be AHA (Instructor or Provider and RQI Certifications acceptable)
• BLS required for all candidates. Must be AHA
• PALS required for OR, ER, and Certified OR Tech/Surgical Techs (CST). Must be AHA
• NRP required for NICU and L&D. Must be AAP 8th Edition. Valid for 2 years

  • Shift: 3x12 Nights - 1845-0715

  • UNIT INFO:
  • Pt. Populations: Infant-21 years
  • Common diagnoses: DKA, respiratory failure, respiratory distress, pneumonia, status asthmaticus, trauma, sepsis, ingestion, seizures, altered mental status, post-arrest, post-surgical
  • 14 bed unit (11 private rooms with one large area with 3 semi-private beds)
  • Some bedside procedures include: central line or arterial line placement, chest tube placement, bronchoscopy, EVD/bolt placement
  • Equipment: Philips monitors, Servo ventilators, Alaris IV pumps, Kangaroo feeding pumps
